I also experimented with the Firm Smoothing Brush and the Round Volumising Brush; the former produced results that were almost exactly the same, while the latter produced results that were a little less polished.

Using the Airwrap to Curl

My naturally curly hair dries in a 2C pattern that is never consistently pretty, so it’s far from this screen-friendly style. There is no way for me to get The Hair’s loose curls once I heat-straighten it. However, I can with the Airwrap. I may use the barrels to get curls after using one of the brush attachments to produce a smoother dry or a rougher one.

After a short while, release the curl and go to the following group of strands. Run your fingers through the strands for a looser curl. Ironically, I have to use hairspray to reinforce my artificially styled curls after styling in order to maintain the desired effect.

Utilising the Airwrap to Smooth

Flyaways are a dead giveaway, as anyone who heat styles or even straightens their hair knows. They are the result of rebellious strands and breaking. The Airwrap’s Coanada effect largely prevents flyaways, but if you’d like even more shine and control after styling, or if you’d want to smooth out that uneven drying process, you may connect the Coanada Smoother and smooth out any flyaways.

Attach the Coanada Smoother and turn the top knob to cover the vents so that it only works as a smoother and not a dryer. I did this after giving my hair a rough dry, working my way down the length of my part. Frizziness smoothed up and flyaways that usually float above my section subsided.

You can use the cold shot button with any of the drying or style settings. In hot or muggy weather, a blast of cold air can assist a hairstyle stay in place and add shine. They are found on most hair dryers, and like the FlexStyle, they usually consist of a button that you must continuously press with your thumb.

However, with the Airwrap, you use your thumb to press and hold the button up.
